But his true passion remained in sports. In 2008, as Team Director of Kolkata Knight Riders, he helped shape the franchise into one of the most recognizable brands in Indian cricket.
His influence extended beyond cricket when he served as the Project Director for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, a record-breaking event that drew 1.3 million spectators across six cities. He further championed emerging sports as the CEO of the inaugural Pro Volleyball League.
